What can I say? For years I’ve been fascinated by stories and fantasies of downward social mobility. Camille Langtry’s “Ladies To Maids”is probably the best example of my reading, but Tibool’s “Chaingang Girls” is also amazing. As you can guess from that, if you are familiar with either, my desire goes far beyond the timid submission that some women play with, that they’d never wish to live out. Subservience and the need to be treated as a social inferior consume me. This blog will give me a chance to post thoughts, stories, perhaps photos on such themes. I hope you will enjoy them, and that you will feel free to share your thoughts with me.
Perhaps a few words about myself might be helpful? I’m a young woman from Canada. I’ve completed my education, but found it a rather joyless experience, and utterly unsuited to my personal need to be a waitress/maid/serving girl/slave. Fortunately, being a pretty enough young woman, waitress jobs aren’t hard to find, particularly if I fib on my application and remove any mention of University or even graduating from high school. If questioned, fictitious ex-boyfriends provide a convenient cover for how I’ve been supporting myself. I had considered telling prospective employers that I’d “done things for money,” but thought that, while they might decide to have me prove it, it might not actually lead to a job.
Of course, waitresses are subjected to quite a bit of harassment and innuendo; but I like the attention. And I really enjoy the knowledge that I’m not exactly free to complain abou most of it. Of course, if it’s truly threatening behaviour, I might bring it to the manager’s attention, or the other waitresses but, for the most part, I don’t. In fact, if they let is slip that a customer is a bit lewd in his remarks, or gets a bit “hands on” after a drink or two, I will often volunteer to take the table for them.
I’m hopeful that you, gentle reader, will have advice and suggestions for me. I look forward to it.
